Frequently Asked Questions

Are you open all year?

Yes. You can reserve a cabin or campsite any time of the year. With notice, we can accommodate your group any time of the year. Our floating, zip line and trail ride from October 31st through April15th are closed.  We ask you to call 1-800-333-8007 to make a reservation with a Customer Service Specialist or a BSR Team Member. We want to ensure that you have the best experience in your off season stay as well as in our busy season.

What if I pay and can’t make it?

If you need to cancel your cabin lodging reservation in part or in whole, for any reason, simply make sure you let us know at least 14 days prior to your reservation date for small cabins and 30 days prior to your reservation date for large cabins. Any reservation which is canceled or reduced after their respectful notice periods is non-refundable.

Where do I check in for cabin lodging, camping, float trips, zip line and trail rides?

Come in the store and a friendly Customer Service Specialist or BSR Team Member will assist you. All guests must check in and have a Resort Pass, Activity Pass or Day pass to remain at the resort.

How many people can fit on a campsite?

Our campsites are different sizes. Sites can accommodate anywhere from 2 to 30 guests. Our Customer Service Specialist or a BSR Team Member can assist you in finding the right campsite for your you.

Can you have a tent on an Electric / Water / Sewer campsite with a camper?

Yes, but only certain sites. Please call 1-800-333-8007 for verification.

Can you have a tent at your cabin?

No. We do not allow tents to be set up at the cabins.

What time is check in and check out for cabins and camping?

Cabin check in is at 4pm and check out is at 11am. Camping check in is at 2pm and check out is at 12pm. If you are not out of your cabin/campsite by check out, you will be charged for an additional night stay. Management reserves the right to relocate your belongings from the cabin or campsite to allow the next guest in.

Do you allow generators?

No. We provide Electric / Water campsites and Electric / Water / Sewer campsites for this reason.

Can you put an RV or pop-up camper on a basic site?

No. We have campsites specifically to accommodate your RV or pop-up camper.

Do you have showers and restrooms?

Yes. We have 2 coin-operated shower houses that have restrooms. The cost is $0.50 for a 10-minute shower. Please note: it takes a few seconds for hot water to cycle through if they haven't been used for a while.

Do you have an adult area or loud area?

No. We do not have an adult or loud area. We are a family friendly resort.

When do you open for the season?

The resort is open all year. The Store is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year Day. Hours for the Store vary for the season. We may be closed at other times due to weather conditions or for other circumstances.

Do you sell alcohol?

No. We do not sell alcohol of any kind at Blue Springs Ranch. You are welcome to bring it with you. Please remember to drink responsibly. Management reserves the right to relocate any guest should the need occur.

Do you have quiet hours?

Yes. 11pm-7am are our quiet hours. We are a family friendly resort and respect all our guests. If you cannot obey by our resort policies, you may be asked to leave the premises.

Are 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, go carts or golf carts allowed on the premises?

Only golf carts and side by sides are allowed on premises. All golf carts are to stay under 10 miles per hour and are not allowed to off road. All other ATVs are not allowed.

Do you have a dump station?

Yes. We have 2 dump stations. One is located at the entrance of the resort and the other is centrally located by the restrooms/shower house and barn.

When should I check in for my float trip, zip line or trail ride reservation?

You will need to arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled floating departure time to finalize registration process. If you have additional steps to take after checking in you may need to consider arriving 45 minutes early. Our buses leave promptly on the hour. If you miss the bus, you must wait until the next scheduled float trip. For zip line and trail rides, please arrive 15 minutes early.

All guests must check in at the store to receive an Activity Pass. Activity Pass is required to participate in your reserved activity.

Are pets allowed?

Yes. Cabin guests must register pets and pay a pet fee. It is a 2-pet maximum. Camping guests are asked to have pets on a leash always and we ask for you to follow our pet policy.

Are horses allowed in the campground?

Yes. We offer horse stalls conveniently located across from the Electric/ Water Equestrian sites only.

Do I need a reservation to float?

No. Reservations are not required but you are not guaranteed a departure time without a reservation. Advanced reservations are recommended.

Do you do overnight float trips?

Yes. Reservations are required for an overnight float trip. Please call 1-800-333-8007 to make a reservation with a Customer Service Specialist or a BSR Team Member.  An overnight float trip reservation cannot be made using our online reservation system.

What size cooler will fit inside the watercraft?

We suggest a cooler no larger than 36 quarts. Any coolers larger could cause your watercraft to drag if you have several people in the boat.

What is the busiest time of the season?

Weekends in May through August are the busiest times of the season. Holiday weekends are also a busy time at the resort.

Is glass allowed on the river?

No. Missouri law states glass is prohibited on the water.

Are pets allowed in the watercraft?

Yes. We allow pets in the watercraft. If you will be bringing your pet, please inform the store staff. This insures your pet a spot on the bus. Management requests that no pet is tied to a watercraft at any point.

Can we bring our own canoe, kayak or tube?

Yes. If you bring your own flotation device, please contact our store staff to get an accurate charge for your device. Note: Canoes, kayaks and rafts are priced the same as if you were to rent from us.

Do you offer vehicle shuttles?

No. We do not offer vehicle shuttles.

How far away is the river from your resort?

Our resort rests alongside the Upper Meramec River. Most campsites are a reasonable walking distance to the river. Cabins are a short drive to the river. If you have any questions, please call 1-800-333-8007 and a Customer Service Specialist or a BSR Team Member will be happy to share with you how far your campsite or cabin is from the river.

Can I get lost on the river?

Natural flow carries boats downstream unless human power pushes them upstream against the current. Watch the ripples in the water to orient yourself and paddle in the same direction as Mother Nature. Our float trip has a designated take-out. Listen well to your Customer Service Specialist or BSR Team Member, and if you still don't have confidence that you understand how to recognize the take-out, please ask. There are many farms, homes and roads that run parallel to our streams. A short walk through the woods in most directions will usually end at a place where you can get help if necessary. Keep in mind that a lot of the land is private property. This means that you should not trespass unless it is an emergency.

Will I get cell service at Blue Springs Ranch?

No. However, with recent advances, the quantity and quality of cell reception is improving.

Will I get cell service while I am at river?

In some areas. If you have your cell on a float trip, we ask you to make sure you seal your cell phone in a water-tight container. Remember, water resistant is not the same as waterproof or water-tight.

Do you sell fishing licenses?

We do not sell fishing licenses. Please visit the Missouri Department of Conservation website and you can purchase a license before your arrival. We do sell fishing poles, fishing worms, and a limited amount of fishing tackle at the store.

How do I make a cabin, camping, or activity reservation?

Please use our online reservation system or call 1-800-333-8007 and a Customer Service Specialist or a BSR Team Member. Zip line and trail ride reservations are not available to be made using the online reservation system.

How do you help keep the environment clean?

We strive to reduce our carbon footprint is by scheduling top of the hour bus trips to floating put-in locations. By reducing the number of trips, we can limit fuel emissions. We are a partner with Missouri Stream Team which is an association dedicated to keeping Missouri streams and rivers clean. For more information about Missouri Stream Team, visit mostreamteam.org. We do not sell Styrofoam coolers, Jell-O-shot cups, Mardi Gras beads, or any other known litter agent in our store.

How do I find current prices?

Please review our price sheet. It is posted throughout the website on each page related to the specific service you are interested in. Please be aware prices are subject to change without notice.

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer a military and first respond discount of 10% OFF (MUST provide ID) and a Clean Stream discount of 25% OFF (MUST provide Clean Stream member card) to redeem the discount.

Do you need reservations to camp?

No. Reservations are recommended, but you do not have to have a reservation to camp. However, we do not guarantee a site for you unless you make a reservation.

Do you require a payment to make a cabin or camping reservation?

Yes. If you are making a cabin reservation, we require half the payment at the time the reservation is made. If you are making a camping reservation, we require the payment in full at the time the reservation is made.

When is the latest I can cancel my reservation to receive a refund?

Campsites and activities require a 14-day notice prior to your reservation date. You will be charged a $10 cancellation fee. Small cabins require a 14-day notice prior to your reservation date. Large cabins and reservations with multiple cabins require a 30-day notice prior to the reservation date. Any cancellation past the notice is non-refundable. All cabin cancellations incur a $25.00 cancellation fee. Review our resort policies.

Can I pay when I get there?

No. Blue Springs Ranch confirms all reservations with an advance payment in full except for cabin lodging. Cabins reserved between the dates of April 1 – October 31 requires half of the payment at the time you make the reservation and the unpaid balance of the payment at the time of check in. Cabin reservations made between November 1 and  March 30 will require full payment. Any unpaid cabin or unpaid partial camping reservations may be canceled.

Do you take deposits?

No. Blue Springs Ranch does not require a deposit.
